Kathmandu Chitwan and Lumbini Tour
The 8 days Experiencing Nepal Tour has been designed for you to cover the major attractions of the country including architecture, spirituality and the scenic beauty. We start with touring the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Kathmandu can be best described as the mixture of modern and historic architecture, diversified culture and various UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Next, we will visit Chitwan; the exotic land of animals. Chitwan National Park is listed under UNESCO World Heritage Sites and known as the home for different endangered species of animals and birds such as the Bengal Tiger and the One Horned Rhino. We will be indulged in various activities such as jungle safari and canoeing in Chitwan. Our Third destination will be Lumbini, known as the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. We will explore the beautiful gardens, the manuscript and relax in the peaceful and tranquil environment of Lumbini.
The 2015 Earthquake left Nepal devastated and damaged. A lot of historic monuments and temples came to rubbles during the earthquake. Nepal is slowly recovering from the traumatic experience. Many monuments and temples were unharmed while others are being rebuilt. Thus, we expect your cooperation while visiting the historic and religious sites. Nepal needs you now more than ever.

Full Itinerary
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our team representative in the airport and will be guided to your hotel. After freshening up, we will invite you for dinner in one of the typical Nepali Restaurant with local cuisine and traditional dance shows. The cuisine includes many traditional dishes made to meet your taste. You will also be entertained with traditional dance shows with on stage Nepali music which will give you an artistic awareness on the Nepalese society. Nevertheless, if your flight is delayed or late at night, we will host dinner the following day.

Good Morning! After breakfast, we will set off to explore the city of Kathmandu. We will be touring some UNESCO World Heritage Sites including temples, shrines, Stupas and monuments. Basantapur Durbar Square lies in the heart of the capital city and showcases the historic monuments and palaces built by the Malla royalties hundreds of years ago. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Courtyard, Kumari Ghar and the Museums are some of the attractions of this place. We will also visit Swayambhunath, popularly known as the monkey temple. Swayambhunath Stupa resides on top of a hill in and takes 350 steps to reach to the top. The Stupa overlooks a beautiful panoramic beauty of the city. Boudhanath is yet another religious site built hundreds of years ago on the route to Tibet. The area is heavily influenced by the Tibetan culture and lifestyle. We will also visit Pashupatinath temple, listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pashupatinath is a diverse area where we can witness sadhus, meditation caves, monkeys playing around, cremation taking place.

Our destination for today will be Chitwan. After breakfast we will transfer to chitwan via private vehicle . Located 97.7kms South West of Kathmandu, Chitwan is known for its exotic wildlife and its diverse ecosystem. After the drive to Chitwan, we will check in to our hotel in Chitwan and have our lunch. After lunch we will have a briefing about our activities for the next day. We can also take a walk along the town and the Rapti River. Later in the evening will witness the tribal dance of the local Tharu Community while we enjoy our dinner.

Early in the morning, we will have our breakfast and start our Jungle safari. We mount on an elephant for a jungle safari ride where we explore the grassland and various species of wildlife. If we are lucky, we might also be able to witness the One Horned Rhino or the Bengal Tiger. We will also enjoy the elephant bath along the Rapti River. After lunch, we will enjoy the canoe ride alongside some exotic crocodiles and water birds sunbathing in the river. We will also visit the elephant breeding center or we might even opt for nature walk while bird watching and exploring different flora and fauna. After a day full of fun and adventure, we will have dinner and get back to our hotel.

Our destination for today will be Lumbini. Situated further west from Chitwan on a distance of 85.1kms, Lumbini is one of the most important heritage sites. It is believed to be the birthplace of lord Buddha, the light of Asia who is known for his philosophical and spiritual preaching. Upon arrival at Lumbini, we will check-in to our hotel. We can even stroll around the area and get to know the culture and lifestyle of the locals.

Early morning after breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu from Lumbini. The distance is about 7hours and along the way we can observe some amazing landscapes with hills and vegetations. We will arrive in Kathmandu and check-in to our hotel. If we arrive in late afternoon, you can go for souvenir shopping or explore more in Kathmandu.
Our tour comes to an end today. With all the memories and immeasurable experience, we will head to the airport for our flight. Nevertheless, if you want to extend your trip or plan your next trip in Nepal, we will be happy to customize your itinerary. Namaste!
